About

I’ve always been a word nerd. I spent much of my young life reading books in all different genres — learning how story makes us understand each other. The empathy I learned from all that reading is one of my top 5 strengths (the other four are strategic, intellection, ideation, and learner — and yes, it does bother me that those don’t seem parallel in structure).

I studied journalism and linguistics in college so I could really dissect words and how we use them to inform and persuade. Since then, I’ve put that passion to work for a variety of publications, businesses, and nonprofits. I’ve created and implemented PR, marketing, and social media plans. I’ve written articles for publication, press releases, blogs on a variety of topics, and a variety of marketing collateral — case studies, brochures, web copy, print and email newsletters, and more.

My favorite part? Putting myself into your audience’s shoes, figuring out where their pain is and how you can help solve it. In that sense, writing is a little bit like acting. I get to pretend to be someone else for a little while every day.

Once we agree on a plan to move forward, we will separate to work on the pieces that make the most sense for your team and for me to complete, staying in communication about where we’re headed and what we’re doing to get there.
